MARIAN CAREY

CAIRO, Ill. -- Marian F. Carey, 77, of Alhambra died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

She was born Aug. 3, 1921, in Cairo, daughter of Augustus and Jennie Stewart Wilson. She married Francis D. Carey, who preceded her in death.

Carey was a retired registered nurse. She was a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army and a veteran of World War II.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Cairo.

Survivors include a son, Stephen Carey of Alhambra; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, with the Rev. Richard Pigg officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time.
