Marguerite Jones

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Marguerite Bernice Jones, 87, of Chaffee died Friday, April 22, 2005, at the Monticello House in Jackson.

She was born May 23, 1917, in Oran, Mo., daughter of Mark Cecil and Dora Ellen Thornton Dunn. She and Ansel "Bud" Jones were married April 25, 1959. He died Feb. 19, 1990.

Jones was a retired self-employed artist and beautician. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chaffee.

Survivors include a daughter, Delores Ponder of Chaffee; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jack Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
