Margie Maloy Strabala, 91, of Scott City, formerly of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Parker, Colorado, became an angel Monday, Sept. 25, 2017.
She was born Aug. 1, 1926, in Star City, Arkansas, to John and Rosie Pollard Wooten, who were all reunited in heaven.
Margie was affectionately known in the Pine Bluff area as "The Stanley Lady," as she hosted many Stanley Home Product parties. She loved to play bingo and cherished the time she spent with family and friends. To many, she was lovingly known as "Mam-maw."
She is survived by two daughters, Gail (Gary) Miller of Scott City and Sharon Young of Aurora, Colorado; three granddaughters, Kim (Jeremy) Schraeder of Parker, Brandi (Jessie) Hager of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and Jennifer (David) McNeely of Scott City; a grandson, Matt (Abbie) Miller of Scott City; six great-grandchildren, Mikey Young-Staadt, J.J. Hager and Skylar Hager, all of Highlands Ranch, Savannah and Charlotte Schraeder of Parker and Hunter McNeely of Scott City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Strabala; a son, Melvin Maloy; her parents; three brothers; and a sister.
A celebration of life will be held at her daughter's home.
Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
