Margie Newman

Margie Carol Newman, 74, of Scott City died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 12, 1942, in Cape Girardeau to Denver and Inia Ellis Samples Perkins. She and Hobert Newman were married April 23, 1983, at Cape Girardeau. He passed away Sept. 6, 1984.

She was a member of The Spark in McClure, Illinois.

Survivors include a daughter, Teresa (Chad) Clymer of McClure; two brothers, Gerald Perkins of Tennessee and Bobby Perkins of Fruitland; and three grandsons, Colton, Caleb and Carter Clymer, all of McClure.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one sister.

There will be a celebration of life service at a later date.
