Marge Parker, 82, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Grand Tower, Illinois, passed away at 7:41 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau. She was born Sept. 19, 1936, in Gorham, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Mary Lindsey Qualls. She was married April 22, 1952, to Bill Parker. He preceded her in death Sept. 8, 1995...

Marge Parker, 82, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Grand Tower, Illinois, passed away at 7:41 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 19, 1936, in Gorham, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Mary Lindsey Qualls. She was married April 22, 1952, to Bill Parker. He preceded her in death Sept. 8, 1995.

Marge loved the Lord and was a member of East Cape Baptist Church. She worked as a cake decorator at Schnucks in Cape Girardeau for 22 years.

Survivors include her son, Roger (Denise) Parker of Newport News, Virginia; sister, Betty Glodo of East Cape Girardeau, Illinois; daughter-in-law, Karen Holloway of Scott City; five grandchildren, Lindsey, Dustin, Michelle, Stephen and Daniel; 12 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Parker, on July 16, 1982; a daughter, Elise Michelle Parker on March 24, 1961; two brothers, Bill and Don Qualls; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cape Girardeau.

Services will follow at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Bruce Clubb will officiate, with remembrances by family and friends. Music will be by Marge Parker. Inurnment will take place Wednesday at Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower.

Memorials may be made to East Cape Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
