MARGARETTE MAUE

BURFORDVILLE -- Margarette Maue, 78, of Burfordville died Saturday, Aug. 15, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 21, 1913, at Burfordville, the daughter of Francis and Hester Medley Howard. On Jan. 19, 1931, she married Dale Helderman, who preceded her in death Dec. 20, 1960. On Aug. 19, 1965, she married Harry Maue, who preceded her in death Jan. 11, 1974.

She was a resident of the Jackson Manor Nursing Home in Jackson since 1989. She had worked at the former International Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include two sons, Orren Helderman of St. Charles and Zene Helderman of Jackson; two step-sons, Robert Maue of Florida and Raymond Maue of O'Fallon; three sisters, Pansy Eakins and Lillian Smith, both of Jackson, and Estella Thorne of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a grandson.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, where funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesay. The Rev. Patrick Tankersley will officiate, and burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
