ADVANCE, Mo. -- Margarette Jones, 79, of Advance passed away Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Charleston, Ill. She was born May 22, 1929, at Blytheville, Ark., daughter of Samuel and Annie Craig Baker. She and Joseph J. Jones were married May 28,1947, in Osceola, Ark. He passed away June 15, 1994...

ADVANCE, Mo. — Margarette Jones, 79, of Advance passed away Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Charleston, Ill.

She was born May 22, 1929, at Blytheville, Ark., daughter of Samuel and Annie Craig Baker. She and Joseph J. Jones were married May 28,1947, in Osceola, Ark. He passed away June 15, 1994.

Margarette was a retired rural mail carrier. She was a member of Advance First Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Jones of Albi, N.M., Sam Jones of Ashmore, Ill., Chris Jones of Advance; two grandsons, Jessie Jones of Ashmore, Lucas Jones of Frederick, Colo., and a great-grandchild, Leighton Jones of Frederick.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric Shrum officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
