Mary "Margaret" Hulcy Wiggins, 61, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, at Southeast Hospital.
She was born Oct. 26, 1958, in Twenty Nine Palms, California, to the late Zane C. Hulcy and Sharon B. Hulcy Barrows.
Her childhood as the daughter of a Marine was spent traveling and living with the family at various military stations in California, North Carolina, Nebraska and Alaska, arriving back in Cape Girardeau in 1970. She was a 1977 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University.
Her working career started in the payroll department of International Shoe factory, which was situated on the present Isle Casino property on Main Street. She then worked for Payless Shoes the next seven years, managing stores in Manchester and Sikeston, Missouri. Afterward, she came back to Main Street to start a 30-year career with Ole Hickory Pits, just a few blocks south of where her career began. When Margaret began working for Ole Hickory Pits, it was a small, regional manufacturing facility, but it eventually grew to the now multi-million dollar corporation. As sales manager, she worked with customers from all over the world.
She and Tony Wiggins married July 15, 1995.
Margaret was an avid gardener, antique collector and St. Louis Cardinals fan. She enjoyed family gatherings, concerts and spending time with friends.

Wiggins of Cape Girardeau; brother, David (Laura) Hulcy of Cape Girardeau; aunt, Margaret Spear of Cape Girardeau; uncle, Joe (Debbie) Hulcy of Red Oak, Texas; brother-in-law, John (Debbie) Wiggins of Jackson; sisters-in-law, Tammy (David) Beck of Scott City and Cindy (Paul) Gilliland of Advance, Missouri; nephews, Dr. Matthew Wiggins, Jon and Andy Beck and Curtis Gilliland; nieces, Zane Elizabeth and Gabrielle Hulcy, Amanda Wiggins and Dr. Tori Landing.
