Margaret Pearl Strack, 96, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, at home, with family by her side.

She was born Aug. 20, 1924, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Leo Pearl and Ida Alice Welker. She and Warren Strack were married Aug. 22, 1943, in Cape Girardeau. Warren preceded her in death March 4, 2002.

Margaret graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School. She was employed at Southwestern Bell and retired with over 30 years of service in 1977. Margaret was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Margaret and Warren were avid travelers and campers, and managed to visit all 50 states except Hawaii.

Family and friends were always Margaret's top priority. She touched the lives of so many people -- in whose hearts she will remain.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Mary Krueger and Dorothy Davidson; and granddaughter, Monica Popp.

Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Ann and Keith Felcyn of Jackson and Debbie and Tom Siemers of Foley, Alabama; granddaughters, Lee Ann (Randy) Brugger and Jennifer (Jeff) Clark; grandson-in-law, Roger Popp; great-grandchildren, Staci Brugger, Ryan (Morgan) Brugger, Landon Clark and Gavin Clark; great-great-grandchildren, August and Vincent Brugger; and many special nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Rev. Douglas Breite will officiate. Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the funeral at the mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be made to Southeast Hospice, Trinity Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
