MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- A memorial service for Margaret Gladys Speth of Marble Hill will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Fred Ritter will officiate. Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery in Palmyra, Neb.

Speth, 71, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at Smith County Memorial Hospital in Carthage, Tenn.

She was born May 7, 1929, in Logansport, Ind., daughter of Daniel and Ruth E. Foss Willis. She and Eugene H. Speth were married in Palmyra.

Speth had been a cook in a restaurant. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Hunt of Carthage; two sons, David Wakeman of Indiana, James Speth of Glen Allen; three stepsons, Wesley Speth of Great Falls, Mont., Charles Speth of Vacaville, Calif., and Steve Speth of South Sioux City, Neb.

Also surviving are three brothers, Danny Willis of Joplin, Bobby Willis of Cape Girardeau, Paul Willis of Cassville; six sisters, Nancy Vail and Mona McGrew of Logansport, Lillian Barber of Indianapolis, Ind., Sharon Prince of Newton, N.C.; Leanna Herbert of Cape Girardeau, Betty Peterson of Aberdeen, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; and a great-stepgrandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.

Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill is in charge of arrangements.
