MATTHEWS -- Funeral for Margaret Ann Ross will be held at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Revs. Carl Odell and Dean Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Matthews Cemetery.

Ross, 88, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999, at Gideon Care Center.

She was born June 1, 1911, in Ft. Smith, Ark., daughter of Will and Morning Lowdermilk Howard. She and Frank Ross were married June 11, 1927, in Dardanelle, Ark. He died April 11, 1985.

Ross attended Parma Church of God.

Survivors include three sons, Charlie Ross of Malden, Ray Ross of Brandon, Miss., James Ross of Matthews; seven daughters, Ruby Taylor of Fulton, Carolyn Holyfield of Bell City, Ruthie Lacey of Essex, Jewell Tankersley of Campbell, Margaret Jenkins of Indianola, Miss., Linda McClain of Malden, and Betty Kerley of Dudley.

Also surviving are two brothers, John Lewis of Seminole, Okla. William Lewis of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Belle Heath of Arkansas; 35 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons, a daughter, two brothers, two sisters, and five grandchildren.
