PERRYVILLE -- Margaret R. "Peggy" Davis, 59, of Perryville, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 1994, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 31, 1935, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of William K. and Ruby Nelson Lakenan. She and H. Harold Davis were married April 5, 1958.
Davis was a tax consultant at Buchheit's in Biehle. She was a lifetime member and elder of First Presbyterian Church and taught Sunday School.
She had taught in Perry County Schools, had been director and secretary of Lakenan Insurance Agency, and served on the boards of Bank of Perryville and Reliable Community Bancshares Corp.
Davis was a member and past president of Ladies Golf Association and Tournament Committee, and was a member of Perryville Elks Ladies Association.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jeffrey Davis of Chicago, Craig Davis of Murray, Utah; a brother, William Lakenan Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., and a sister, Gloria Williamson of Jackson.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. today, and 6:30 a.m.-noon Saturday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. James Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
