DUDLEY, Mo. -- Margaret Ann Parks, 63, of Dudley died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born June 28, 1938, in Bernie, Mo., to Lawrence and Mildred Spicer Mekan. On Feb. 25, 1956, in Bloomfield, Mo., she married Charles "Bo" Parks. He died Jan. 4, 1983.
She lived in Dudley most of her life, was a homemaker and attended the Church of God in Dudley.
Survivors include her mother of Bernie; her husband, Robert C. White of Dudley; five daughters, Loretta Parks of Dudley, Sharon Stroup and Patricia L. Disney of Bloomfield, Tonya Clark of Sikeston, Mo., and Sandra Holland of Bernie; a son, Jimmy Parks of Bloomfield; five brothers, Ivan Mekan of Bernie, Gene Mekan of Arkansas, David Mekan of Dudley, Tom Mekan of California and Bill Mekan of Michigan; five sisters, Valida Mastalvich and Frances Mekan of St. Louis, Carolyn Mekan of Louisiana, Launita McNeil of Indiana and June Aimes of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dale Shoup officiating. Burial will follow in the Dudley Cemetery.
