Margaret Mize, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Sept. 7, 1921, at Vanduser, Mo., daughter of Henry and Eva Woodward Utnage. She and Forrest Mize were married Sept. 7, 1945. He died Feb. 13, 1979.
Mize retired as a machine operator at Oran Hat Factory in Oran, Mo. She was a member of West Side Church of God. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1990 from Morley, Mo. She was a former member of Morley Church of God.
Survivors include a daughter, Eva Owens of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Revs. John Rehbine and B.L. Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Old Morley Cemetery at Morley.
