BENTON, Mo. -- Margaret Evelyn McPherson, 82, of Benton died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at her home. She was born June 11, 1923, in Blodgett, Mo., daughter of Ernie and Edna Moore Rister. She and Verbon McPherson were married June 8, 1941, at Benton. McPherson was a key punch operator 11 years at Rival Manufacturing. She worked at Olin Mathis Ammunition Co. in Alton, Ill., during World War II...

BENTON, Mo. -- Margaret Evelyn McPherson, 82, of Benton died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at her home.

She was born June 11, 1923, in Blodgett, Mo., daughter of Ernie and Edna Moore Rister. She and Verbon McPherson were married June 8, 1941, at Benton.

McPherson was a key punch operator 11 years at Rival Manufacturing. She worked at Olin Mathis Ammunition Co. in Alton, Ill., during World War II.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jack McPherson of Benton, Tom McPherson of Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters, Glenda Evans and Brenda Jones of Blodgett; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Benton Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Unity Baptist Church in Benton, with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Blodgett Cemetery.
