ANNA, Ill. -- Margaret Lutz Adams, 81, of Anna died Tuesday, April 21, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born April 11, 1917, in Anna, daughter of Halford R. and Pearl Roberts McCarty. She first married James Ratcliffe Lutz Feb. 11, 1934. He died Dec. 1, 1971. She later married Oley O. Adams, who died Feb. 19, 1989...

ANNA, Ill. -- Margaret Lutz Adams, 81, of Anna died Tuesday, April 21, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 11, 1917, in Anna, daughter of Halford R. and Pearl Roberts McCarty. She first married James Ratcliffe Lutz Feb. 11, 1934. He died Dec. 1, 1971. She later married Oley O. Adams, who died Feb. 19, 1989.

Adams was a member of First Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Judith Watkins of Anna; four sons, James Lutz of St. Ann, Mo., Jon Lutz of Anna, Timothy Lutz of Henderson, Ky., Steven Lutz of Chester; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steve Wilkinson officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
