SCOTT CITY -- Marcella O. Robinson, 90, of Scott City died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born on Oct. 5, 1907, at Benton, daughter of Joseph and Mary Walter Scherer. She and Stanley Robinson were married on Aug. 17, 1929. He died Feb. 19, 1992...

SCOTT CITY -- Marcella O. Robinson, 90, of Scott City died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born on Oct. 5, 1907, at Benton, daughter of Joseph and Mary Walter Scherer. She and Stanley Robinson were married on Aug. 17, 1929. He died Feb. 19, 1992.

She was a retired waitress who worked with the Sunny Hill Restaurant and the Colonial Restaurant in Cape Girardeau.

She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau and St. Ann's Sodality.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lynch of Scott City and Judi Eaker of Chaffee; a brother, Cyril Scherer of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Alma Hebenstreit of Lutesville; seven grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City beginning at 4 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 7:30.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing, the Revs. Pat Wissman and Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery in Benton.
