EAST PRAIRIE -- Mamie Christine Marshall, 80, of East Prairie, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Nov. 8, 1911, in Mississippi County, daughter of James T. Townsend and Allie Higgins Futrell. She married John Fayette Marshall Dec. 22, 1925. He died April 20, 1986.
Marshall was a member of First Baptist Church here, and was involved in the foster grandparents program at Doyle School in East Prairie.
Survivors include three sons, Ross Marshall of Rocky Mount, Bill Marshall of Herculaneum, Dennis Marshall of Baton Rouge, La.; four daughters, Ruth Brown and Brenda Holdiness of St. Louis, Doris Owens and Joy Ivie of East Prairie; a brother, Billy Futrell of Upland, Calif.; two sisters, Dorothy Myers of Tucson, Ariz., Ruby Croney of East Prairie; 20 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. The Revs. George White and Robert Burke will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
