CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Funeral for Malrose May of Charleston will be held at 1 p.m. today at Shiloh Baptist Church, with the Rev. Levan Brayboy officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. until service time.
Sparks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
May, 97, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at Sikeston Health Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born Oct. 9, 1903, in Aiken, S.C., daughter of George and Ida Brayboy. She and Daniel May were married in May 1944, at Charleston. He died in July 1948.
May was reared in rural Holly Grove, Ark., moving to Charleston in 1944. She was a member of Mercy Seat Baptist Church.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
