MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Mahetta Mae Cook, 79, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at her home.
She was born Dec. 16, 1922, in Mayfield, Mo., daughter of Marshall Arnold and Hester Azilea Limbaugh Long.
Mae was a homemaker, and a member of Advance Church of Christ, Scopus Church of Christ and VFW Post 5900 Auxiliary.
Survivors include five daughters, Carmen Lovsey of Murphysboro, Ill., Vivian Angel and Helen Sue Summers of Marble Hill, Joyce Angel and Shannon Summers of Scopus, Mo.; two brothers, James Long of Idalia, Mo., Odell Long of Advance, Mo.; two sisters, Mary Tucker of Mississippi, Violetta Vavak of Lampe, Mo.; 12 granddaughters; three grandsons; 13 great-granddaughters; nine great-grandsons; and two great-great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Freddie Newell; a daughter, Shirley Jean Long; two sisters, Devern Long, Beulah Arthur; a brother, Shelby Long; a great-granddaughter, Amber Accord; and a great-grandson, Travis Wayne Welker.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Liley Funeral Home, with Brother Billy Davis officiating. Burial will be in Cook's Cemetery near Scopus.
