TAMMS, Ill. -- Funeral service for Maggie A. DeWitt of Tamms will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. The Rev. Billy Don Heady will officiate, with burial in St. John's Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Thursday.

DeWitt, 89, died Monday, June 16, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 4, 1907, at Delta in Alexander County, daughter of Robert Otto and Edna Vick Dillow. She married Charles DeWitt, who preceded her in death.

DeWitt was a retired teacher, and member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include a sister, Jessie Dillow of Anna.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
