LEOPOLD, Mo. -- Magdalen Adelheid Stoverink, 92, of Leopold died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 7, 1922, in Leopold, daughter of Meinard George and Bernadine Steinnerd Hinkebein. She and Lawrence H. Stoverink were married May 4, 1946, at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold. He passed away Nov. 16, 2005.
Magdalen was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and its ladies sodality.
Survivors include sons Tony (Darlene) Stoverink and Edgar (Cori) Stoverink of Leopold, Steve (Gina) Stoverink of Malden, Missouri, Alan (Ramona) Stoverink of Marble Hill and Terry (Michele) Stoverink of Glennon, Missouri; daughters Geraldine (John Jr.) Bohnsack of Whitewater, Kathy Chapman of Benton, Arkansas, Dorothy (Michael) VanGennip of Glennon, Susie (Tim) Lukefahr of Leopold and Patsy (Steve) Birk of Gordonville; daughter-in-law Linda Stoverink of Leopold; 31 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were sons Arnold and Eugene Stoverink; son-in-law Tom Chapman; brothers Ray, Ed, Urban, Sylvester, Hilary and Jerry Hinkebein and Elmer Clippard.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Missouri, with parish prayers at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, with the Rev. William Hennecke officiating.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
