MAE MILLER

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Mae Helen Miller, 93, of Kankakee died Sunday, July 25, 1999, at Heritage Village Retirement Home in Kankakee.

She was born Feb. 8, 1906, in Ullin, daughter of Elvis and Addie Mowery Hunter. She married Carl Miller, who preceded her in death.

Miller was retired from Manteno Mental Health Center. She was formerly of Manteno and Mounds, and was a member of Manteno United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Merrill Britt of Santa Clara, Calif., Charlene Murphy of Olmsted; three sons, Clarence Miller of Cape Girardeau, James and Robert Miller, both of Manteno; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home in Manteno.

Funeral will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Sondra Newman will officiate.

Friends may also call after 10 a.m. Friday at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds.

Funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jerry Herring will officiate. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery at Mounds.
