Mae Enke

Mae Jewel Enke, 95, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at Monticello House.

She was born March 7, 1923, in Allenville to Fritz and Myrtle Withers Bohnsack.

Mae was a housekeeper at Southeast Hospital, and a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson.

Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Bowen of Jackson; one son, Brad (Donna) Enke of St. Louis; sever grandchildren, Jennifer (Rob) Wilson, Amanda (Dusty) Proctor, Beth (Tim) Peeler, Amy (Michael) Penninger, Erin (Wilson) Stokes, Tyler Enke and Amber Enke; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bruce Enke; two brothers, James and John Bohnsack; and a sister, Virginia Fenimore.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Riley officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
