OAK RIDGE -- Mrs. Mae Engler, 99, of Oak Ridge passed away Sunday, March 26, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with Janet Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery at Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Engler was born March 18, 1901, in Oak Ridge, daughter of the late Bennett and Addie Turner Crites. She married Clyde Engler Jan. 28, 1921. He passed away Oct. 17, 1982.
She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Jones of Oak Ridge; a daughter-in-law, Frieda Engler of Oak Ridge; two granddaughters, Vickie Ruehling of Old Appleton and Donna Clark of Festus; a grandson, Tom Engler of Oak Ridge; a great-granddaughter, Megan Clark; four great-grandsons, Michael and Kirt Ruehling and Duran and Cody Engler; and two great-great-granddaughters, Lexi and Chelsea.
Mrs. Engler was a lifelong member and the oldest member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, two sisters, and a great-granddaughter.
Memorials may take the form of donations to Oak Ridge United Methodist Church.
