MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Mae Beggs, 88, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Dongola, Ill., died Saturday, Nov. 9, 1996, at the Boulevard Nursing Home in Murfreesboro.
She was born on Oct. 24, 1908, in Union County, Ill., the daughter of Simon Edward and Dovey Ann Smoot Lingle. On Nov. 19, 1943, she married Jesse Beggs, who preceded her in death on May 23, 1977.
Beggs was a member of the North Boulevard Church of Christ in Murfreesboro.
Survivors include two nieces, Maldetta Compton of Murfreesboro and Bonnie Miles of Wood River, Ill.; and one nephew, Lealeen Lingle of Dongola.
Friends may call at the Crain Funeral Home in Dongola from 5-8 p.m. Monday.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday with John Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Christian Chapel Cemetery in Dongola.
