Madge Dalton

ANNA, Ill. -- Madge Dalton, 85, of Anna died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, at Union County Nursing Home.

She was born June 9, 1917, in Goreville, Ill., daughter of Edward and Alberta Gray Rodgers. She and Robert W. "Bob" Dalton were married Dec. 24, 1934, in Vienna, Ill. He died Feb. 17, 1994.

Dalton attended First Baptist Church of Cobden, Ill. She was a former member of Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Dalton of Anna, Roger Dalton of Lakeland, Fla.; two daughters, Betty Loyd of Carterville, Ill., Jo Rion of Anna; two sisters, Syble Alsip of Marion, Ill., Ruth Smith of Goreville; 17 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a sister, two brothers and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Entombment will be in Cana Cemetery at Goreville.
