DELTA -- Mabel C. Waddle, 88, of Delta, died Tuesday, March 26, 1996, at her home. She was born Jan. 2, 1908, in Advance, daughter of Elmon and Addie Hitt Sullinger. She and Jake Waddle were married Jan. 11, 1924, in Advance. He died March 17, 1979...

DELTA -- Mabel C. Waddle, 88, of Delta, died Tuesday, March 26, 1996, at her home.

She was born Jan. 2, 1908, in Advance, daughter of Elmon and Addie Hitt Sullinger. She and Jake Waddle were married Jan. 11, 1924, in Advance. He died March 17, 1979.

Waddle was a member of Fairview General Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Ivis Waddle of Cape Girardeau, Truman Waddle of Whitewater; two brothers, Willis Sullinger of Advance, Claude Sullinger of Chaffee; two sisters, Wilma Miller and Fern Noble of Advance; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; three stepgrandchildren; 14 great-stepgrandchildren, and 11 great-great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 4:30-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Arvil Huffman and Larry Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
