JONESBORO, Ill. -- Mabel E. Ray, 93, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girar-deau.
She was born Jan. 14, 1914, in Villa Ridge, Ill., daughter of Richard M. and Flora Ines Essex Bagby. She and George Waymon Ray were married July 1, 1947, in Murphysboro, Ill. He died May 1, 2007.
Survivors include two brothers, Austin Bagby of Jackson, Cecil Bagby of Clifton, Ill.; and a sister, Dorothy Jenisch of Larned, Kan.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Ken Harper and Robert Fear officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery at Dongola, Ill.
