JONESBORO, Ill. -- Mabel Lenora Lutz Norris, 95, of Jonesboro died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, at the Carbondale Memorial Hospital. She was born at Sparta. She and Cecil Norris were married in 1925. JONESBORO, Ill. -- Mabel Lenora Lutz Norris, 95, of Jonesboro died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, at the Carbondale Memorial Hospital.

She was born at Sparta. She and Cecil Norris were married in 1925.

She was a member of the Union County Hospital Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Anna-Jonesboro Garden Club, the Friday Night Club, Delta Theta Tau Sorority, the Tuesday Tea Club and the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church at Anna.

Survivors include three daughters, Lenora Leffler and Cecelia Hope Norris, both of Carbondale, and Mary Carolyn Hudgens of Carmel, Calif.; a sister, Catherine Alongi of DuQuoin; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hileman and Parr Funeral Service at Jonesboro.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. The Revs. Steve Wilkerson and Ron Cox will officiate, with burial to follow at Jonesboro Cemetery.
