Widowed in June 1993 from her loving husband, James L. Neal Sr., after 41 years of happiness. Mabel met her husband while working together at a glass bottle company. In 1982 Mabel retired from the glass industry as a lab technician. Upon retirement Mabel and James moved to her birthplace home near Advance, Mo.
Mabel was the last remaining child of one of Stoddard County's early pioneers, Albert and Grace Straney Looney. Mount Pisgah General Baptist Church was where Mabel worshiped.
Mabel is survived by four nieces, a nephew and two stepdaughters.
Mabel was preceded in death by three sisters, Opal Smith, Betty "Pansy" Freure and Norma Wilfong, her only brother, Everett Looney and a stepson.

Mabel will live on in our hearts and minds because of her generosity of spirit and the kindness of her heart. She will be deeply missed and remembered always with our love.
