SWINTON -- Mabel Mildred Statler, 88, of Wentzville, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 1994, at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur.

She was born May 4, 1906, at Swinton, daughter of Ernest and Nora Schumate Swindell. She married Clippard Statler, who preceded her in death.

Statler had been an active member of the Church of Christ in Cape Girardeau, Hardy, Ark., and Wentzville.

Survivors include a sister, Hazel Speck of Wentzville.

Friends may call at T.E. Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brian McCutchen officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Memorial Park at Cape Girardeau.
