Mabel Knight

Mabel Jean Knight, 74, of Scott City died Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, at her home.

She was born June 3, 1934, in Franklin, Ohio, daughter of Denzie Wright and Ada Beatrice Thacker.

She was employed as a shipping clerk by Stone Container in Houston and retired in 1993.

Survivors include six sons, David Sannan of Mainville, Ohio, Robert Sannan of Scott City, James Toler of Indianapolis, Douglas Toler of Corpus Christi, Texas, John Toler, of Cape Girardeau and Anthony Toler of Houston; a brother, Denzie Wright Jr. of Indianapolis; a sister, Betty Barker, of Middleton, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City is in charge of arrangements. There are no services scheduled.
