CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Mabel Germaine "Granny" Hunsperger, 79, of Charleston died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 19, 1927, in Mississippi County, daughter of Riley and Anoma Givens. She and Curtis Lincoln Hunsperger were married in 1943. He died in 1970.
Hunsperger was a CNA at Charleston Manor 15 years, then was a private duty nurse until retiring.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald Hunsperger of Arnold, Mo., Jimmy Hunsperger of Charleston; two daughters, Jean McGinnis of Wyatt, Mo., Kathie Moore of Benton, Mo.; a sister, Pauline Ditto of East Prairie, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, a grandson, two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Penn officiating. A niece, Verna Hyde, will give the eulogy. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
