JACKSON -- Mabel Augusta Hennecke, 88, of Jackson died Thursday, March 4, 1999, at her home. She was born Oct. 21, 1910, near Whitewater, daughter of Christian and Edna Rhodes Grebe. She and Henry Hennecke were married Feb. 20, 1928. He died June 9, 1991...

JACKSON -- Mabel Augusta Hennecke, 88, of Jackson died Thursday, March 4, 1999, at her home.

She was born Oct. 21, 1910, near Whitewater, daughter of Christian and Edna Rhodes Grebe. She and Henry Hennecke were married Feb. 20, 1928. He died June 9, 1991.

Hennecke was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include four daughters, Anna Stroder of Sedgewickville, Betty Hennecke of Jackson, Wanda Eakins of Whitewater, Diane Grayum of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, a half brother, and a granddaughter.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Southside Church, with the Rev. Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
