BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Mabel Hartley of Bloomfield will be held at 2 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Paul Catterton will officiate, with burial in West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near here.
Mrs. Hartley, 83 years old, died Friday, Nov. 30, 1990, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 30, 1907, near Bloomfield, daughter of Alonzo and Loretta Poe Chasteen. She married Wiley Lin Hartley Dec. 16, 1928, in St. Louis. She worked several years at Famous-Barr in St. Louis. After their retirement, the couple moved to Bloomfield. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church here.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Duane Hartley of Kansas City, Russell Hartley of St. Louis; two daughters, Betty Gillespie of St. Louis, Carol McCall of Bloomfield; 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
