Mabel Bain, 77, of Scott City died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 10, 1930, in Spanish Grant, Mo., daughter of Walter Lee and Mandy Hallmark Bromley. She and O.C. Bain were married May 17, 1947, in East Prairie, Mo. He died Sept. 7, 1986.
Bain had been a bookkeeper at Auto Trim Design in Cape Girardeau, and member of Cape Girardeau South Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry and Rick Bain of Scott City; two daughters, Charlotte Kelsey of Scott City, Pam Collins of Dexter, Mo.; a brother, James Bromley of Fenton, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cape Girardeau Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Allen Laszewski will officiate. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
