JACKSON -- Funeral service for M. Marie Ruehling of Jackson will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Rev. David Johnson will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Ruehling, 81, died Wednesday, April 12, 1995, at her home.
She was born Aug. 27, 1913, in Jackson, daughter of Henry and Louise Westerhold Meier. She and Elmer B. Ruehling were married Sept. 16, 1944, at Pocahontas.
Ruehling taught school two years at Van Buren, and then worked at Fulenwider Drug Store in Jackson. She was a member of St. Paul Church, its Concordia Guild, and had taught Sunday School. She was also a member of Eastside Extension Club.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Ralph H. Ruehling of Jackson, and a sister, Lola Meier of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
