CHARLESTON -- M. Geraldine Black, 58, of Granite City, Ill., died Saturday, March 27, 1993, at her home.
She was born Nov. 21, 1934, in Charleston, daughter of Kit Nard and Mildred Adel Medlock Jones. She and James "Randy" Black were married Oct. 29, 1949.
Black had lived in Granite City the past 25 years. She was employed by Plastic Molding Co. in St. Louis, and was a member of City Temple Assembly of God Church in Granite City.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, David and Glenn Black of Granite City; five daughters, Darlene Eaton of Ferguson, Sharry Todd, Gail Sperino and Ruth Ely of Granite City, Paula Adams of Charleston; a brother, Edward Jones of Collinsville, Ill.; six sisters, Mary Cann, Betty Brewer, Sandra Barnes, all of Granite City, Ruth Cann of Madison, Ill., Marjorie Dusley and Sharon Trentman of Edwardsville, Ill.; 15 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McMikle Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Michael Hopkins will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-8 p.m. today.
