JACKSON -- Lynn V. Jones, 76, of Jackson, died Sunday, June 16, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 26, 1914, at Gravel Hill, son of Sillvanus and Elsie Huckstep Jones. He and the former Dorothy Ruch were married Feb. 19, 1947. She died May 21, 1991.
Jones worked 28 years at LaPierre-Sawyer Handle Factory, retiring in 1977. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158 in Jackson, and VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include six sons, Richard Ruch of Cape Girardeau, Gary Jones of Barnhart, Joe Jones of Colt Neck, N.J., Mitchell Jones of Walnut Creek, Calif., Terry Jones of Lutesville, Darrell Jones of Jackson; four daughters, Shirley Cook of Lutesville, Betty Jones of Walnut Creek, Martha Bowers of Jackson, Linda Dowd of Chaffee; two sisters, Lucille Roloff of Cape Girardeau, Lula Flindt of Spirit Lake, Iowa; 10 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Fred Ritter will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today. An American Legion service will be held at 7.
