DEKALB, Ill.-- Lyndle R. "Sparky" Reeves, 72, of DeKalb died Friday, May 19, 2006, at DeKalb County Rehab & Nursing Center.
He was born March 31, 1934, in Brunot, Mo., son of Raymond J. and Daisy Randolph Reeves. He and Erma Christine Harris were married April 14, 1953, at Hernando, Miss.
Reeves was employed as an electrician. He was an Army veteran who served in Germany. Reeves was a member of the Sycamore Church of Christ, the IBEW Union 364 in Rockford, Ill. Reeves was an avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider.
Survivors include his son, Craig (Sandy) Reeves of Hanover Park, Ill.; a granddaughter, Mariah Christine Reeves; two stepgrandchildren, Melissa and Michael Hollander; his brother-in-law, Bobby (Carol) Harris of Prescott, Ariz.; several cousins, nieces, nephews; and his extended family at the Sycamore Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma, on Oct. 26, 1993; his brother, Dean Reeves; his sister, Eula Fox; and his parents.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the time of service Monday, May 22, at the Anderson Funeral Home Ltd. in DeKalb.
The funeral will be at 5 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Phil Vermillion of the Sycamore Church of Christ officiating.
Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, at the New Morley Cemetery in Morley, Mo., with Rev. Bill Bradley of the Morley Church of Christ officiating.
