Lyman Ray Gohn, 56, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, in a vehicle accident near Willow Springs, Mo. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Lyman Ray Gohn, 56, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, in a vehicle accident near Willow Springs, Mo.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral will be Wednesday, Aug. 9, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Hugh Stewart will officiate.

Lyman was born July 4, 1944, at Indian Creek, Mo., son of Lester and Agnes Schenimann Gohn. He and Joan Amlingmeyer were married Oct. 5, 1990.

Loving survivors include his wife, Joan of Cape; two daughters and a son-in-law, Julie and John Sharp of Cape Girardeau, Michelle Gohn of Jackson and her fiancee, Christopher Haury of Sparta, Ill.; two brothers, Layton Gohn of Jackson, Leon Gohn of Richmond, Ind.; and a grandson, Jakob Sharp.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Lloyd Gohn.

Lyman worked as a truck driver many years, including Eagle Excavating, Cape Ready-Mix, Cape Auto Pool, Alliance Water Resources, and most recently Arrowhead Steel. He formerly owned and operated Lyman Gohn's Mobile Home Parts and Service.

Lyman was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau and served as a deacon. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Masonic Lodge, and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, and Shriner.
