MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Lydia Kathleen Upchurch Yount, 80, of St. Louis passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born May 11, 1931, at Marble Hill, daughter of Ralph Edgar and Rada Ellen Thomason Upchurch.
Yount had worked as a secretary for Wideman & Associates and was a member of Geyer Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Yount of Rockwall, Texas, Brian Yount of Dittmer, Mo.; a daughter, Jane Yount of St. Louis; a brother, Milford Upchurch of Marble Hill; a sister, Marjorie Grindstaff of Macomb, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Medford and Edwin; and two sisters, Elsie Lou Lincoln and Iva Dell Cook.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Ed Plants officiating. Interment will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
