EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Lydia Ophelia Dodge of St. Charles will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. Burl Britt and Johnny Bell will officiate, with burial in Anniston Cemetery.
Dodge, 75, died Sunday, June 25, 1995, at St. Joseph Health Care Center in St. Charles.
She was born July 13, 1919, in Mississippi County, daughter of Lee and Beulah Smith Coffer. She and Bob Dodge were married in March 1947. He died in 1988.
Dodge retired from food service at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was a member of Wolf Island Baptist Church. She moved to St. Charles five years ago from East Prairie.
Survivors include two sons, Richard McClain of Bossier City, La., Donnie Coffer of St. Charles; a daughter, Linda Furlong of St. Louis; a brother, Larry Dodge of Wappapello; a sister, Edna Parker of Florissant, and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
