JACKSON -- Funeral service for Lydia Meyer of Jackson will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Rev. Robert Henrichs will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today, and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

Meyer, 87, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Jan. 15, 1907, near Oak Ridge, daughter of Fritz and Louise Sewing Isenberg. She and B.A. Meyer were married May 26, 1949. He died Nov. 13, 1960. He was part owner of McCombs Funeral Home and Furniture Co. for a number of years.

Meyer graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1927, and received a teaching certificate from Southeast Missouri State University. She taught in rural Cape County schools 15 years, and at St. Paul Lutheran School 5 years. She had been a member of St. Paul Church since 1943, and was a member of its Concordia Guild.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Mildred Witzke of DeSoto, and five stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, sister and stepdaughter.
