BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Lydia Lois Leirer, 87, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at Puxico Nursing and Rehab Center in Puxico, Mo. She was born March 10, 1913, in Garland City, Ark., daughter of Walter and Lydia Crank. She and Clifton Sheridan Leirer were married Dec. 1, 1930, in Garland City. He died May 5, 1981...

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Lydia Lois Leirer, 87, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at Puxico Nursing and Rehab Center in Puxico, Mo.

She was born March 10, 1913, in Garland City, Ark., daughter of Walter and Lydia Crank. She and Clifton Sheridan Leirer were married Dec. 1, 1930, in Garland City. He died May 5, 1981.

Leirer had lived in Stoddard County since 1941, and was a member of Bloomfield Church of Christ.

Survivors include three sons, Glen Leirer of Panama City, Fla., Walter "Butch" Leirer of Destin, Fla., Wayne Leirer of Carmel, Ill.; six daughters, Dora Bailey of Heber Springs, Ark., Patsy Wilcox of Wentzville, Mo., Ann Lewis of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Faye Robertson of Sikeston, Mo., Kaye Laborde of Kimberling City, Mo., Toni Evans of Puxico; 28 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, nine brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Carol Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
