MARBLE HILL -- Lydia Margaret Hamlyn, 91, of Marble Hill, died Wednesday, March 27, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 9, 1904, at Shrum, daughter of Noah and Mary Kirn Abernathy. She married Earl Hamlyn, who preceded her in death.

Hamlyn was a member of New Salem Baptist Church near Marble Hill.

Survivors include two sons, Sylvane Hamlyn of Marble Hill, Farris Hamlyn of High Ridge; two daughters, Martinea Boles of Marble Hill, Glenda McCoy of Randles; two sisters, Sadie Trentham and Cora Rhodes of Marble Hill; 26 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, four brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at noon Friday at New Salem Church, with the Rev. Randy Poole officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery at St. Louis.
