Lydia Anna Washer, 107, of Jackson Manor, died there Tuesday, May 7, 1991.
She was born Feb. 4, 1881, at Pevely, daughter of John and Louise Mueller Rapp. She married Jules Washer June 18, 1905, at Pevely. He died Dec. 24, 1957.
Washer moved here in 1938 from Horine. She was a licensed practical nurse 30 years, having worked at St. Francis Hospital and as a private duty nurse. She was also an accomplished pianist and organist. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, its Junior Ladies Aid, and LPN Association.
Survivors include a son, John Washer of Wilmington, Del.; a daughter, Louise Edmonds of Jackson; a sister, Flora Stanglein of St. Louis; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Carl Richardson will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
