JACKSON -- Luther B. Cooper, 81, of Jackson, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 1994, at Doctors' Hospital in Wentzville.
He was born Oct. 16, 1913, at Bloomfield, son of William and Jane Fishbaugh Cooper. He and Dorris Shipman were married Aug. 25, 1934. She died March 2, 1989.
Cooper had lived on a farm on Highway 177 since 1936, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church at Fruitland, active in SCS, and was a former member of Fruitland School Board.
Survivors include a son, Ben Cooper of Lake St. Louis; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.
