McCLURE, Ill. -- Lurabell Sronce, 88, of Niceville, Fla., formerly of McClure, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 25, 1919, in Fayville, Ill., daughter of James Monroe and Gertrude Hoops Hutchison. She and Cletus Sronce were married Nov. 7, 1936, in Tamms, Ill. He died March 12, 1999.
Sronce was a member of VFW Auxiliary 8677 in Fairview Heights, Ill., and the Red Hat Society of Destin, Fla.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Sue Skiles of McClure, Marilyn Kay (Richard) Rodenmeyer of Niceville; three grandchildren, Daniel Sronce, Lori Ann Diaz and Tami Scott; four great-grandchildren, Connor and Dyan Scott, Lindsey Stone and Melissa Hausset; a brother, Gerald Hutchison of Fairview Heights; two sisters, Mina Brown of Las Vegas, Junella Rosine of LaCrescenta, Calif.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Carl Cletus Sronce in 1971, Gary Sronce in 2007; three brothers, Charles, Forest and Richard Hutchison.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, and from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at the chapel at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with James Molter officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens.
